Al Obour Contracting is the construction division of the listed in the Cairo Stock Exchange company Al Obour for Real Estate Investment (OBRI.CA). The company was established in 1994 by Eng. Tarek Karim Abdelhamid Eissa and Mohamed Hassan Helmy and within its 27 years of operation has created a solid track record of successfully executed projects in the fields of Hospitality & Leisure, Industrial Projects, Residential and Commercial Developments as well as Educational Facilities. Al Obour Contracting holds a Grade Q License in Buildings, roads, utilities, etc..

Completed El Obour Center - the first and largest (at the time) mall in estern Cairo area

Completed Misr International University campus

Completed the Royal City Compound (307 Villas) in Sheikh Zayed City

Managing Director – Technical Advisor

Eng. Karim Eissa is the MENA Regional Director of Alghanim International responsible for overseas activities of the firm. Eng. Karim brings to ORC a breadth of managerial experience in Construction and Real Estate in United Kingdom, Libya, Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain & KSA providing guidance to the corporate management in terms of strategy. Eng. Karim holds a B.Sc. in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo and
a M.Sc in Project Management from Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK). He is a Chartered Civil Engineer in the United Kingdom, PMP qualified and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. With a professional career of more than 24 years, Eng. Karim has worked with several international and regional organizations such as CCC, WS Atkins, London Underground & Alghanim International, in key sectors such as Building Construction, Railways, Aviation, Infrastructure & Real.

Eng. Wael Mohamed Faried

Executive Director

Eng. Wael Mohamed Faried has a 28 years experience in construction management in Egypt, Kuwait and Qatar, having executed complex multimillion USD building and infrastructure projects. He has been a member of the Alghanim International project management and operations team since 2005 in various capacities and within his mandate is to ensure that Al Obour Construction projects are delivered on time and within budget, through efficient resources management and at the highest level of quality and safety industry standards. Currently he is directly responsible for a large project portfolio in excess of $500M and has a proven strong track record of leading teams and delivering challenging Public and Private sector projects. Eng. Wael holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University in Egypt .

Eng. Ahmad Lofti has been the Technical Manager of ORC since 2002, responsible for the engineering aspect of all industrial, residential, commercial and infrastructure projects of the company. Eng. Ahmad has 36 years of experience in the contracting and consulting sector in Egypt and KSA, holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Cairo University and is a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers.

George Kouladis is the Business Development & Project Finance Director for Alghanim International in the MENA region. George brings more than 15 years of experience in the Middle East, Northern Africa and Europe in the fields of Project Finance, EPC Contracting (Infra, Buildings, Rail), Public Private Partnership projects, RES projects and Real Estate. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Piraeus (Greece) and an MBA from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (MA, USA), is a chartered economist with the Economic Chamber of Greece and a member of ICC chapter in UAE.

Eng. Ashraf El Sayed is the Regional Procurement Director of Alghanim International for the MENA region. He has more than 15 years of experience in managing the supply chain of mega projects in the field of infrastructure,
healthcare and hospitality in Egypt, KSA, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain & Kuwait with international firms such as ACC, Burhan, ARABTEC and Alghanim International. Among the key projects he handled in the past have been the 1
Billion US$ Al Ain Hospital in UAE, the 800mil US$ Jabal Omar Development Project in KSA and 1.2 Billion US$ Al Jahra Hospital in Kuwait. Eng. Ashraf holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University in Egypt and is
a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers, Saudi Council of Engineers and Abu Dhabi Engineers Association.
